Job summary

CHI St. Gabriel's Health in Little Falls is seeking a Retail Pharmacist to support providers by safely prescribing and dispensing medications, ensuring patient safety and high-quality care.

You will review prescriptions, check for drug interactions, dosing, allergies, and document clinical interventions. You’ll work with a team to deliver an exceptional patient experience and accurate medication management.

Qualifications

• Graduate of College of Pharmacy is required.
• Current Minnesota Board of Pharmacy Registration is required.
• Three years of experience working in a pharmacy environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Document clinical activities and interventions
• Interpret medication orders and/or prescriptions for drug interactions, appropriate drug selection and appropriateness
• Enter and verify the order or prescription into the computer system, labels, and dispenses medications
• Verify and check medications prepared by other pharmacy personnel
• Communicate drug information to patients and health professionals
• Resolve drug related problems by consulting with other health care professionals to achieve appropriate patient outcomes

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Retail Pharmacist, you’ll help our providers safely prescribe and dispense medications to help our patients feel better and recover from their illness or injury.

Every day, you’ll build trust in these interactions by reviewing every prescription in your queue. We never rely entirely on the computer to check for safety; we always use an expert for the final check. That’s you. You’ll review prescriptions for potential drug interactions, correct dosing, patient allergies or anything that looks unusual in your opinion.

To excel in this role, you must enjoy learning new concepts and researching information in real-time to provide solutions for our patients. You should also continually look for ways to go above and beyond for your patients, delivering an exceptional experience along with exceptional care.
