Pet Supplies Plus is seeking a Retail Pet Store Associate to join our friendly, neighborhood-focused team. You’ll greet customers, assist with pet nutrition choices, and help customers find the right products while learning about pet care in a supportive environment.

You’ll work in a fast-paced retail setting, assisting with stocking, POS, and store cleanliness, and you may participate in special services like nail trims.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work on evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Interest in pets and willingness to learn.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet neighbors with a friendly, pawsitively passionate attitude.
• Help a new puppy parent pick the right food or help a regular find what they forget the name of.
• Make thoughtful product recommendations based on each pet’s needs.
• Operate the POS system, process transactions, and handle returns.
• Promote store specials, loyalty programs, and current offers.
• Stock shelves, manage inventory, and keep displays organized.
• Lift and stock bags of pet food and supplies.
• Assist pet parents with self-wash stations and explain the process.
• Restock bathing supplies and keep the store clean and welcoming.
• Provide occasional services like walk-in nail trims (training provided).
