Job summary

Pet Supplies Plus 4074 is seeking a Retail Pet Store Associate - Customer Service and Pet Care. Join a friendly, neighborhood-focused team to help pet parents choose food, care for animals, and provide great service.

You’ll greet customers, stock shelves, operate POS, and take part in promotions and in-store supports like self-wash stations and nail trims training provided.

Flexible scheduling and growth opportunities are offered, with an emphasis on training and advancement within the company.

Qualifications

• Customer service skills with ability to communicate clearly.
• Experience in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Willingness to learn about pet nutrition and products.
• Ability to lift and stand for extended periods.
• Availability for weekends, evenings, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Greet neighbors with a friendly, pawsitively passionate attitude
• Help a new puppy parent pick the right food or help a regular find products
• Make thoughtful product recommendations based on each pet’s needs
• Operate the POS system, process transactions, and handle returns
• Promote store specials, loyalty programs, and current offers
• Stock shelves, manage inventory, and keep displays organized
• Lift and stock bags of pet food and supplies
• Assist pet parents with self-wash stations and explain the process
• Restock bathing supplies and keep the store clean and welcoming
• Provide occasional services like walk-in nail trims (training provided)
