GENERAL FUNCTION:

The Personal Banker I provides exceptional customer service by building and maintaining relationships with customers. Responsibilities include processing teller transactions, working as part of the platform staff, and helping customers understand and meet their financial needs through our consultative sales and service process.

Accountable for risk management, adhering to policies and procedures, and ensuring a positive customer experience. Achieves results by identifying, assessing, and managing risks within the Bank's risk appetite.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Create memorable customer experiences and build relationships through proactive outreach.
• Use a consultative approach to uncover customer needs and recommend solutions.
• Maintain knowledge of products, services, and processes.
• Collaborate with internal partners to meet customer needs and resolve issues.
• Analyze customer financial data to ensure appropriate solutions.
• Support customers in using current and new technology.
• Process teller transactions following balancing guidelines.
• Adhere to the Bank's Code of Business Conduct and Ethics.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

• High School Diploma/GED with 6 months customer service experience, or college degree/military experience.
• Ability to develop comfort with new customer acquisition and relationship deepening.
• Professional communication skills.
• Business acumen.
• Sound decision-making ability.
• Must register with NMLS at employment start.
