Job Description

Professional level sales position capable of supporting advanced functions of the DIY business. The role requires expert knowledge of store systems, automotive systems, and parts knowledge. It involves troubleshooting, project assistance for DIY customers and sourcing parts from various suppliers.

Primary Responsibilities

• Provide GAS2 selling experience for DIY customer visits and phone calls
• Achieve personal/store sales goals and service objectives
• Manage DIY services including battery installation, testing, wiper installs, etc.
• Ensure high standards of customer service and store appearance
• Key holder responsibilities: task assignment and completion, safety, open/close duties

Secondary Responsibilities

• Assist in store inventory processes including truck put away, shoot outs, cycle counts, back stock, etc.
• Maintain store cleanliness: floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting, parking lot
• Perform DIY services (battery installation, testing, wiper installs)

Essential Job Skills

• Working knowledge of automotive systems and diagnostic ability (engine, suspension, brakes, electronics, exhaust, etc.)
• Good English communication (Spanish a plus)
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, parts catalogs, procedure manuals
• Follow written, oral, or diagram instructions
• Successfully complete the Parts Knowledge Assessment
• Basic math accuracy (add, subtract, multiply, divide, fractions, decimals)
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
• Strong organizational skills
• Work days, evenings, and weekends as needed

Prior Experience

3-5 years of prior automotive parts experience and proven sales ability in customer transactions.

Education & Certifications

Valid driver’s license required. ASE Certification preferred but not required.
