Advance Auto Parts Inc. is seeking a Retail Parts Pro to deliver expert knowledge of automotive parts and store systems. The role involves helping DIY customers both in person and by phone, aiming to meet sales and service goals while performing DIY services such as battery installation and wiper replacements.

The position requires strong communication, knowledge of inventory processes, and the ability to work varied shifts. ASE certification is preferred; valid driver's license may be required.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of prior automotive parts experience.
• ASE certification preferred, but not required.
• Strong knowledge of automotive systems and parts.
• Proficient with POS and parts lookup tools.
• Ability to read and interpret parts catalogs.

Responsibilities

• Provide GAS2 selling experience for DIY customers and calls.
• Achieve personal and store sales goals and service objectives.
• Manage DIY services like battery installation and wiper installs.
• Maintain store appearance and safety; perform key holder duties.
• Assist in inventory, cycles counts and back stock as needed.

The role has expert knowledge of store systems, advanced automotive system knowledge and part knowledge. This role has the ability for advanced identification, trouble shooting and project assistance for DIY customers. The role has the ability to source from numerous places including special order, FDO, second source, etc. The role has in-depth knowledge of the store inventory and maintenance processes.
