Job summary

Advance Auto Parts in Elkton, VA seeks a Retail Parts Pro to support DIY customers with expert parts knowledge and store systems proficiency. Role includes battery and wiper installations, and assisting with inventory and store upkeep.

You will meet sales goals, use diagnostic equipment, and uphold high customer service standards. ASE certification preferred and 3–5 years of automotive parts experience are desirable.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of prior automotive parts experience.
• Proven sales ability with customer transactions.
• Must have a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Provide GAS2 selling experience for DIY customers and phone calls.
• Achieve personal/store sales goals and service objectives.
• Manage DIY services including battery installation, testing, wiper installs, etc.
• Ensure high standards of customer service and store appearance.
• Key holder responsibilities: open/close duties and task assignment.
• Assist in store inventory, cycle counts, back stock, and cleaning.

The role has expert knowledge of store systems, advanced automotive system knowledge and part knowledge. This role has the ability for advanced identification, trouble shooting and project assistance for DIY customers. The role has the ability to source from numerous places including special order, FDO, second source, etc. The role has in-depth knowledge of the store inventory and maintenance processes.
