What is a Retail Parts Pro?

This is a professional sales position supporting advanced functions of the DIY automotive parts business. The role requires expert knowledge of store systems, automotive systems, and parts, with skills in identification, troubleshooting, and project assistance for DIY customers. It involves sourcing parts from various channels including special orders, FDO, and secondary sources, with in-depth knowledge of store inventory and maintenance processes. This is a full-time position.

Primary Responsibilities

• Provide GAS2 selling experience for DIY customer visits and phone calls
• Achieve personal and store sales goals and service objectives
• Manage DIY services such as battery installation, testing, wiper installation, etc.
• Maintain high standards of customer service and store appearance
• Perform key holder duties including task assignment, safety, and opening/closing responsibilities

Secondary Responsibilities

• Assist with store inventory processes like truck put away, shoot outs, cycle counts, and back stock
• Ensure store cleanliness including floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting, and parking lot maintenance
• Provide DIY services including battery installation, testing, and wiper installation

• Ability to interpret safety rules, manuals, parts catalogs, and procedures
• Ability to complete the Parts Knowledge Assessment successfully
• Basic math skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
• Strong organizational skills
• Flexibility to work days, evenings, and weekends as needed

Prior Experience

3-5 years of automotive parts experience and proven sales ability in customer transactions.

Education and Certifications

Valid driver’s license required; ASE certification preferred but not mandatory.
