Job description

What is a Retail Parts Pro?

A professional level sales position supporting advanced functions of the DIY business. The role requires expert knowledge of store systems, automotive systems, and parts. Responsibilities include advanced identification, troubleshooting, and project assistance for DIY customers, sourcing parts from various channels, and maintaining store inventory. This is a full-time position.

Primary Responsibilities
  1. Provide GAS2 selling experience for DIY customer visits and calls
  2. Achieve personal and store sales goals and service objectives
  3. Manage DIY services such as battery installation, testing, and wiper installs
  4. Maintain high standards of customer service and store appearance
  5. Perform key holder duties including task assignment, safety, and opening/closing
Secondary Responsibilities
  1. Assist with inventory processes like truck put away, cycle counts, and back stock
  2. Maintain store cleanliness including floors, bathrooms, and parking lot
  3. Provide DIY services including battery and wiper installations
Success Factors

  • Proficiency with POS and parts lookup systems

Essential Job Skills
  • Knowledge of automotive systems and diagnostics
  • Effective communication in English; Spanish is a plus
  • Ability to interpret safety rules, manuals, and parts catalogs
  • Complete Parts Knowledge Assessment successfully
  • Accurate basic math skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Flexibility to work days, evenings, and weekends
Prior Experience

3-5 years of automotive parts experience with proven sales ability and customer transaction fulfillment.

Education & Certifications

Must have a valid driver’s license. ASE certification is preferred but not mandatory.
