Overview

At Office Depot Inc., the Retail Team Lead is a part-time role providing “total solutions” to our customers encompassing Products, Technology, Services, Furniture, and Print offerings. The Team Lead will build and maintain customer relationships, support sales, and foster a customer-centric environment aligned with Office Depot's 5C values: Customer, Commitment, Change, Caring, and Creativity. They will demonstrate passion for our brand and offerings, utilizing proven sales principles to engage customers and ensure satisfaction.

The Retail Team Lead will help create a vibrant sales culture, enhance store standards, and perform Leader on Duty functions, including opening and closing responsibilities as a Key Carrier. The position may require periodic background checks.

Primary Responsibilities

1. Print Sales and Services:
   • Support efficient operation and drive store sales in Print.
   • Operate and assist with equipment to ensure order accuracy and timeliness.
2. Operational Efficiency:
   • Process merchandise accurately, adhere to procedures, and improve processes.
   • Ensure loss prevention compliance and support sales and profitability initiatives.
3. Client Engagement:
   • Enhance customer satisfaction through coaching and community outreach.
   • Develop personal selling skills and product knowledge.
4. External Key Carrier and Leader on Duty:
   • Ensure safety and security during management absence.
   • Perform opening/closing duties and support store operations.

Education and Experience

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1-3 years related experience, sales or customer service preferred.
• Basic computer skills; experience with print services is a plus.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and selling skills.
• Ability to adapt, process information accurately, and demonstrate passion for the brand.
