Overview

At Office Depot Inc., the Retail Team Lead is a part-time role providing “total solutions” to our customers encompassing Products, Technology, Services, Furniture and Print offerings. The Retail Team Lead will build and maintain customer relationships, becoming a trusted advisor through provided training. They will support a customer-centric environment, engage with the local community, and contribute to a positive culture aligned with the Office Depot 5C values of Customer, Commitment, Change, Caring, and Creativity. The role requires a passion for the brand and products, and the ability to utilize Office Depot’s sales principles to proactively engage customers, support sales, and assess customer needs to ensure satisfaction.

Through enthusiasm and expertise, the Retail Team Lead will foster a vibrant sales culture, enhance store visual and merchandising standards, oversee freight and logistics activities, and prioritize customer satisfaction. They may also perform Leader on Duty functions and external Key Carrier responsibilities, including opening and closing the store.

Primary Responsibilities

• Print Sales and Services: Support efficient operation and drive store sales in Print, operate equipment, and coordinate customer service.
• Operational Efficiency: Process merchandise accurately, identify process improvements, ensure loss prevention compliance, and support sales and profitability initiatives.
• Client Engagement: Enhance customer satisfaction, support community outreach, develop personal selling skills, and perform other duties as assigned.
• External Key Carrier and Leader on Duty: Ensure safety and security, perform opening/closing duties, and support store operations and compliance.

Education and Experience

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1-3 years of related experience, with sales and customer service preferred.
• Basic computer skills, strong interpersonal and communication skills, and adaptability are required.
