Overview

At Office Depot Inc., the Retail Team Lead is a part-time role providing “total solutions” to our customers encompassing Products, Technology, Services, Furniture, and Print offerings. The Team Lead will build and maintain customer relationships, becoming a trusted advisor through training, supporting sales, and fostering a customer-centric environment. The role involves engaging with the community, contributing to a positive culture aligned with the Office Depot 5C values of Customer, Commitment, Change, Caring, and Creativity. The Team Lead will demonstrate passion for the brand and offerings, utilizing sales principles to proactively engage customers, drive sales, and ensure satisfaction.

The Retail Team Lead will also help create a vibrant sales culture, enhance visual and merchandising standards, and handle freight and logistics. As a part-time ‘Key Carrier,’ they may perform Leader on Duty functions, including opening and closing responsibilities, with necessary background checks.

Primary Responsibilities

• Print Sales and Services: Support efficient operation and drive store sales, operate equipment, and assist associates in the Print Services area.
• Operational Efficiency: Process merchandise accurately, identify process improvements, ensure compliance, and support sales and profitability initiatives.
• Client Engagement: Enhance customer satisfaction, support community outreach, and develop personal selling skills.
• External Key Carrier and Leader on Duty: Ensure safety, security, and compliance during management absence, perform opening/closing duties, and assist in cash handling and audits.

Education and Experience

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1-3 years of related experience, sales, or customer service preferred.
• Basic computer skills, strong interpersonal skills, adaptability, and excellent communication required.
• Experience in print services and advanced selling skills are desirable.
