Overview

As a Part Time Retail Store Associate at Office Depot, your role is vital to our success. You will engage with customers in a friendly and knowledgeable manner, creating positive shopping experiences and driving sales.

In this role, you will actively connect with customers, recommend products and services, and support a vibrant sales culture. You will contribute to store standards, logistics, and customer satisfaction, all while aligning with Office Depot's 5C values: Customer, Commitment, Change, Caring, and Creativity. Training in technology and print products/services will prepare you to assist customers effectively and apply sales principles to foster growth.

Primary Responsibilities

1. Customer Experience:
   1. Proactively acknowledge and engage every customer.
   2. Promote solutions and additional products/services using selling programs.
   3. Stay informed about promotions, advertisements, and loyalty programs.
2. Store Operations:
   1. Maintain store and print department appearance per guidelines.
   2. Ensure signage, labeling, and merchandise presentation standards.
   3. Follow sorting, stocking, and freight processes.
   4. Organize freight sorting areas.
   5. Manage inventory levels daily.
3. Print and Tech Expertise:
   1. Develop personal selling skills and product knowledge through training.
   2. Pursue certifications if required.
4. Sales Techniques:
   1. Adhere to company policies and support loss prevention.
   2. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• No prior experience required.
• Basic computer skills and ability to use technology.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to read, count, and write for documentation and inventory.
• Client-focused, positive, action-oriented, passionate about the brand and products.
