Overview

As a Part Time Retail Store Associate at Office Depot, your role is vital to our success in today’s retail landscape. You will engage with customers in a friendly and knowledgeable manner, creating a positive shopping experience while driving sales.

In this role, you will actively connect with customers, address their needs by recommending products, services, and solutions, and help us create a vibrant sales culture. You will support store operations, maintain visual standards, and prioritize customer satisfaction, all while contributing to a positive culture aligned with the Office Depot 5C values: Customer, Commitment, Change, Caring, and Creativity. Training in technology and print products/services will prepare you to assist customers effectively, applying sales principles to foster growth.

Primary Responsibilities

1. Customer Experience:
   1. Engage proactively with customers to support a positive experience.
   2. Promote sales using the selling program and stay informed about promotions and loyalty programs.
2. Store Operations:
   1. Maintain store and print department appearance according to guidelines.
   2. Follow signage, labeling, and merchandising standards.
   3. Sort, stock, and manage freight and inventory levels.
3. Print and Tech Knowledge:
   1. Develop personal selling skills and product knowledge through training and certifications.
4. Sales Techniques:
   1. Adhere to company policies and support loss prevention efforts.
   2. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• No prior experience required.
• Basic computer skills and good interpersonal communication are necessary.
• Ability to read, count, and write for documentation and inventory processing.
