Overview

As a Part Time Retail Store Associate at Office Depot, your role is vital to our success in today's retail landscape. You'll engage with customers in a friendly and knowledgeable manner, creating a positive shopping experience while driving sales.

In this role, you will actively connect with customers, address their needs, and recommend products, services, and solutions to enhance their experience. You will help create a vibrant sales culture, maintain visual and merchandising standards, support freight and logistics activities, and prioritize customer satisfaction. You will also be trained in technology and print products/services to assist customers effectively, applying sales principles to foster growth.

Primary Responsibilities

1. Customer Centric Experience:
   • Engage proactively with every customer to support a positive experience.
   • Promote sales of solutions, products, and services using the selling program.
   • Be aware of advertisements, promotions, sales, and loyalty programs.
2. Store Operations:
   • Maintain store and print department appearance per guidelines.
   • Ensure signage, labeling, and merchandise presentation standards are met.
   • Follow sorting, stocking, and freight processes.
   • Organize freight sorting areas.
   • Manage inventory levels daily.
3. Print and Tech Expertise:
   • Develop personal selling skills and product knowledge through training, including certifications if required.
4. Sales Techniques:
   • Adhere to company policies and support loss prevention efforts.
   • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• No prior experience required.
• Basic computer skills and ability to use technology.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to read, count, and write for documentation and inventory.
• Client-focused, positive, engaging, action-oriented, and passionate about the brand.

Additional Information

The salary range is $11.00/hour to $13.82/hour, with compliance to local minimum wages. Benefits include a 401(k), competitive pay, and growth opportunities.
