Overview

As a Part Time Retail Store Associate at Office Depot, your role is vital to our success. You will engage with customers in a friendly and knowledgeable manner, creating a positive shopping experience while driving sales.

You will actively connect with customers, address their needs, recommend products, and promote solutions to enhance their experience. You will help create a vibrant sales culture, maintain visual and merchandising standards, support freight and logistics activities, and prioritize customer satisfaction. Training in technology and print products/services will equip you to assist customers effectively. Your role involves applying sales principles to ensure satisfying customer interactions and business growth.

Primary Responsibilities

1. Customer Centric Experience:
   • Engage proactively with every customer to support a positive experience.
   • Promote sales of products and services using the selling program.
   • Stay informed about advertisements, promotions, and loyalty programs.
2. Store Operations:
   • Maintain store and print department appearance to standards.
   • Ensure signage, labeling, and merchandise presentation are up to standard.
   • Follow sorting, stocking, and freight processes.
   • Organize freight sorting areas.
   • Manage inventory levels daily.
3. Print and Tech Expertise:
   • Develop personal selling skills and product knowledge through training.
   • Seek continued education and certifications as needed.
4. Sales Techniques:
   • Follow company policies and support loss prevention efforts.
   • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• No prior experience required.
• Basic computer skills and the ability to access information electronically.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to read, count, and write for documentation and inventory.
