Overview

As a Part Time Retail Store Associate at Office Depot, your role is vital to our success in today's retail landscape. You will engage with customers in a friendly and knowledgeable manner, creating a positive shopping experience while driving sales.

You will actively connect with customers, addressing their needs by recommending products, services, and solutions to enhance their experience. You will help create a vibrant sales culture, maintain store standards, support logistics, and prioritize customer satisfaction, all while contributing to a positive culture aligned with the Office Depot 5C values: Customer, Commitment, Change, Caring, and Creativity. Training in technology and print products/services will be provided to equip you with the necessary knowledge to assist customers effectively.

The role focuses on driving sales and delivering exceptional service, especially in Print and Technology areas. The ideal candidate should be passionate about sales, customer service, and operational excellence.

The position may require periodic background checks conducted by a third-party.

Primary Responsibilities

1. Customer Centric Experience
   • Engage proactively with every customer to support a positive experience.
   • Promote products and services based on customer needs and current promotions.
   • Stay informed about advertisements, promotions, and loyalty programs.
2. Store Operations Commitment
   • Maintain store and print department appearance according to guidelines.
   • Ensure proper signage, labeling, and merchandise presentation.
   • Manage freight, inventory, and stock organization.
3. Print and Tech Expertise
   • Develop personal selling skills and product knowledge through training.
   • Pursue ongoing education and certifications as required.
4. Sales Techniques
   • Follow company policies and support loss prevention efforts.
   • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• No prior experience required.
• Basic computer skills and ability to access information digitally.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to read, count, and write for documentation and inventory processes.
• Client-focused, positive, action-oriented, with a passion for the brand.
