Overview

As a Part Time Retail Store Associate at Office Depot, your role is vital to our success. You will engage with customers in a friendly and knowledgeable manner, creating a positive shopping experience while driving sales.

In this role, you will actively connect with customers, addressing their needs by recommending products, services, and solutions. You will help create a vibrant sales culture, maintain visual standards, and support freight and logistics activities, all while prioritizing customer satisfaction. You will be trained in technology and print products/services to assist customers effectively and apply sales principles to enhance customer interactions and business growth.

The Store Associate plays a key role in driving store success through sales and service excellence, especially in Print and Technology. The ideal candidate is passionate about sales, customer service, and operational excellence.

The position may require periodic background checks conducted by a third-party.

Primary Responsibilities

• Customer Experience: Engage proactively with customers, promote solutions, and be aware of promotions and loyalty programs.
• Store Operations: Maintain store appearance, adhere to signage and merchandising standards, manage freight, and maintain inventory accuracy.
• Print and Tech Expertise: Develop product knowledge through training and certifications as needed.
• Sales Techniques: Follow company policies, support loss prevention, and perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• No prior experience required.
• Basic computer skills and good interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to read, count, and write for documentation and inventory processes.
• Client-focused, positive, action-oriented, and passionate about the brand.
