Overview

As a Retail Sr. Store Associate-Part Time, you will actively connect with customers, addressing their needs by recommending the right products, services, and solutions to enhance their experience. Through enthusiasm and expertise, Sr. Store Associates will help us create and nurture a vibrant sales culture, enhancing our store's visual and merchandising standards, freight, and logistics activities, and prioritizing unparalleled client satisfaction. The Sr. Store Associate will support a customer-centric environment, engagement with the local community, all while contributing to a positive culture aligned with the Office Depot 5C values of Customer, Commitment, Change, Caring, and Creativity.

Primary Responsibilities

1. Customer Centric Experience:
   • Supports a positive customer-centric experience by proactively acknowledging and engaging every customer.
   • Utilizes and understands the selling program to promote the sale of the best solution as well as additional products and/or services.
   • Maintains awareness of planned advertisements, promotions, and sales and loyalty programs.
2. Store Operations Commitment:
   • Maintains store and print department appearance to company guidelines and keeps a neat, clean, well-stocked environment.
   • Adheres to all standards related to signage labeling and merchandise presentation.
   • Follows established sorting and stocking guidelines and completes freight processes.
   • Ensures freight sorting area is organized and set up according to guidelines.
   • Scans, investigates, and fills inventory lows and outs daily.
3. Print and Tech Expertise:
   • Develops personal selling skills and product knowledge through sales and service tools, including successful completion of advanced Print and Technology training.
   • Continued education in these areas is expected, up to and including certifications, if required.
4. Compliance Adherence and Support:
   • Ensures compliance with company policies, procedures, and practices; supports loss prevention efforts.
   • Performs other duties as assigned.

Education And Experience

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• No previous experience required; retail sales experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills required, including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, and G-Mail.
• Ability to use computers and technology to access necessary information.
• Ability to process information/merchandise through POS system.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills; enjoys interacting with people.

Additional Information

The salary range is $12.00/hour to $15.00/hour, with compliance to local minimum wages. Benefits include a 401(k) and opportunities for growth.
