Job summary

Security Industry Specialists, Inc. in Manhattan, NY 10001 seeks a Shift/Site Supervisor to manage security operations and post reviews. The role includes client liaison, badging, and compliance with all regulations.

You will lead a team of Security Specialists and ensure timely responses to incidents. Ideal candidates hold a relevant bachelor’s degree and at least five years in security management, with state guard certification and excellent communication and writing skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice, Political Science, Emergency Management, or related discipline or equivalent experience
• Minimum of five years in safety and security management or supervision, law enforcement, military, or security control room supervision
• Maintain state guard certification as prescribed by state law and client requirements; employee bears costs unless noted
• Excellent time management, communication, technical writing, presentation development, facilitation, and organizational skills
• Dependable team player with strong customer service and professional maturity
• Flexibility to work any shifts Mon-Sun

Responsibilities

• Liaise with client's corporate management to ensure proper utilization and execution of security programs
• Oversee a team of Security Specialists, ensuring compliance with post orders and providing training
• Manage and coordinate all security operations and programs in the assigned area
• Respond to emergent events, issues, deficiencies and client requests in a timely manner
• Initiate investigations and write incident reports as directed
• Maintain accurate records including timekeeping and daily activity reports
• Perform other related duties as required

Qualifications

As a candidate you must have:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice, Political Science, Emergency Management, or other related discipline or equivalent experience
• Minimum of five years in safety and security management or supervision, law enforcement or military, or security control room supervision experience
• Complete and maintain state guard certification as prescribed by presiding state law, as well as all client requested certification; all documentation and fees are the responsibility of the employee unless otherwise noted
• Effective time management, communication, technical writing, presentation development, facilitation, and organizational skills
• Must be a dependable team player with business maturity and enthusiasm with the ability to deliver high level of customer service
• Have flexibility to work any shifts on any day of the week (Mon-Sun)
