Snif is hiring a full-time Retail Operations Manager in New York, New York, for a remote team with travel of approximately 10% to 20% as business needs require. The role reports to the VP of Operations and manages retail orders from purchase order through fulfillment, delivery, and invoicing. Snif's retail channels include Ulta, Ulta International, Amazon, and future distribution partners.
The position covers retailer order execution for a fine-fragrance company. The work includes purchase-order validation, inventory coordination, fulfillment-provider communication, electronic data interchange monitoring, invoicing, chargeback disputes, and launch readiness. Candidates need at least three years of relevant wholesale order management, retail operations, or customer operations experience in consumer products. Beauty, fragrance, personal care, or home-products experience is preferred.
The application record identifies the position, employer, work location, and employment type. Candidates should have their employment history, wholesale order-management experience, EDI experience, and examples of process improvements ready before applying.
The manager validates purchase orders against item data, pricing, quantities, inventory, and delivery requirements. Discrepancies move into resolution with the relevant internal teams and retail partners.
Order execution continues through fulfillment, delivery, and invoicing. The role coordinates with Procurement and Inventory on shortages, fulfillment priorities, and operational risks, then works with fulfillment providers on routing, labeling, shipping documents, pickup requirements, and delivery requirements.
Snif requires hands-on monitoring and troubleshooting of EDI transactions and retailer portals. The manager resolves missing or rejected documents and verifies that required information reaches the appropriate retail partner.
Retailer compliance also includes invoice reconciliation and chargeback work. The role prepares invoices, compares quantities, works with Finance on discrepancies and deductions, prepares chargeback disputes, tracks deadlines, and addresses recurring causes.
The manager leads order-execution readiness for retailer and item launches. This work includes data checks, test orders, workflow preparation, and handoffs with distribution partners before a launch moves into active order flow.
Snif also expects the manager to maintain order records and reporting by retailer and distribution center. The role improves procedures, reporting, backup coverage, and repetitive processes as distribution channels expand.
Qualified candidates bring three or more years of wholesale order management, retail operations, or customer operations experience in consumer products. National retailer orders, multiple distribution centers, third-party warehouses, transportation partners, and retailer routing requirements form the operational background for the role.
Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills support reconciliation across order, inventory, shipment, and invoice data. Clear communication, sound judgment, attention to detail, follow-through, and measurable process-improvement results are also required. Familiarity with OpenText, ShipIQ, Partners Online, comparable retailer systems, ERP workflows, automation, retailer launches, or Amazon fulfillment adds relevant preparation.
Snif develops fine-fragrance products described on the employer's job record as genderless, non-toxic, vegan, and cruelty-free. Its direct-to-consumer business also sells selected products through Ulta Beauty and Amazon.
The published benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) with company matching, paid parental leave, flexible vacation and paid time off, well-being and mental-health benefits, a remote-work setup, and Snif products. The hiring team places the role within a New York-based operation while the day-to-day team works remotely.
The position's operational scope reaches from retailer purchase orders to final invoice reconciliation, so order records and exception history remain part of the manager's regular work. Retailer portals, EDI documents, warehouse handoffs, and chargeback deadlines create the recurring control points for the role.
Snif's channel mix also puts retailer launches, Amazon fulfillment, and direct-to-consumer product flow within the same operating environment. Experience that connects those workflows to accurate data and dependable partner communication matches the position's stated focus.
