Job summary

DICK’S Sporting Goods in Friendswood, TX is seeking enthusiastic teammates to help athletes by understanding their needs and delivering an exceptional shopping experience. You will learn product flows, assist customers, and contribute to a positive store culture.

As a store teammate you greet customers, assist with merchandise, keep the backroom organized, uphold merchandising standards, help unload freight and transfers, and support safety and inclusivity in daily operations.

Qualifications

• Prior retail sales, operations, maintenance, or customer-focused experience preferred.
• Able to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull and lift 15 to 35 lbs repetitively (up to 25 times per hour).
• Able to work extended periods of time (up to 4 hours) standing or walking.
• Able to work at heights greater than 4 feet with use of a ladder, aerial lifting device, or
• Able to perform repetitive motions for short periods of time (up to 2 hours continuously).

Responsibilities

• Greet teammates and customers and proactively approach athletes to understand their needs and support their shopping experience.
• Ensure that all merchandise and product received at the store is processed in accordance with established programs and procedures; the backroom is organized and maintained so that merchandise is easily accessible in partnership with the Freight Flow/Operations Lead.
• Uphold company merchandising and presentation standards.
• Assist with the unloading of trucks, processing of freight, execution of transfers, RTVS, claims, freight processing, etc.
• Fulfill the company-defined customer experience by completing all processes according to our service level standards.
• Adhere to established policies and procedures related to safety, loss prevention and standard operating procedures. Maintains confidentiality of all Company information.
• Create an inclusive store environment where everyone (teammates and customers) feels welcome, safe, and is treated with respect.
• Take an all-hands-on-deck approach to support the team across the store.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by management.
