Job summary

Winston Retail is seeking a passionate, detail-driven Retail Merchandising Specialist in Philadelphia to style mannequins and displays and create a polished shopping experience.

This independent contractor role offers a flexible schedule, competitive hourly pay of $19-$22, and the chance to contribute across multiple stores. You will report through the Winston App and be comfortable working with mobile reporting.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in apparel merchandising or related field.
• Experience working with mannequins (assembling, updating, styling).
• Portfolio preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with planograms and visual directives.
• Keen eye for detail and creativity in displays.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement merchandising strategies aligned with company standards.
• Execute planograms to optimize product placement and maximize sales.
• Communicate merchandising needs with team and store management.
• Work independently and as part of a team in different store settings.
• Manage monthly scheduling to meet deadlines for store visits and deliverables.
• Submit store visit reports with before/after photos and feedback via Winston App.
• Report via Winston App on a smart device (iOS or Android requirements).

Job Title: Retail Merchandising Specialist

Location: Philadelphia, Pa (Roosevelt Mall)

Job Type: Independent Contractor

Pay: $19-$22 per hour (rate based on market and relevant experience)

Expected Hours: Varies, Project-Based

Job Overview

Winston Retail is seeking a passionate, detail-driven apparel merchandiser to bring fashion to life at the store level. As an apparel merchandiser, you'll be responsible for styling mannequins and displays to create a polished, trend-forward shopping experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement effective merchandising strategies that align with company standards
• Execute planograms to optimize product placement and maximize sales with apparel and hardline merchandise
• Communicate effectively with team members and store management regarding merchandising needs
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in different store settings
• Manage monthly scheduling to ensure store visits and merchandising deliverables are completed by assigned deadlines, demonstrating strong time management and accountability
• Submit store visit reports, including taking before and after photos and writing feedback, using our Winston App on a smart device
• Smartphones are required for reporting:
  • IOS: Use an iPhone 11 or newer
  • Android: Use a 2020 or newer device with an OS no more than four versions behind the latest
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for the entire shift

Experience & Skills

• Proven experience in apparel merchandising or a related field is preferred
• Experience working with mannequins (assembling, updating, and styling)
• A portfolio of work is preferred but not required
• Familiarity with planograms and visual directives is essential
• A keen eye for detail and creativity in presenting apparel displays
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
