Job summary

Winston Retail seeks a passionate apparel merchandiser to bring fashion to life at the store level in Millbury, MA. You will style mannequins and displays to reflect brand identity and attract shoppers, using the Winston App to document visits.

This is an independent contractor role with varying hours by project. You’ll need a smartphone and ability to lift up to 25 pounds, delivering polished, trend-forward presentations across multiple stores.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in apparel merchandising or related field preferred.
• Experience with mannequins (assembling, updating, styling) preferred.
• Familiarity with planograms and visual directives essential.
• Strong eye for detail and creativity in displays.
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement merchandising strategies aligning with company standards.
• Execute planograms to optimize product placement and maximize sales.
• Communicate merchandising needs with store teams and management.
• Work independently and as part of a team across different stores.
• Manage monthly scheduling to meet deadlines for store visits and deliverables.
• Submit store visit reports with before/after photos using Winston App.
• Report via smartphones; IOS: iPhone 11+; Android: 2020+ device.

Job Overview:

Winston Retail is seeking a passionate, detail-driven apparel merchandiser to bring fashion to life at the store level. As an apparel merchandiser, you'll ensure clothing is styled, organized, and presented to reflect brand identity and attract shoppers. Working hands-on in stores, you'll be responsible for styling mannequins and displays to create a polished, trend-forward shopping experience.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement effective merchandising strategies that align with company standards
• Execute planograms to optimize product placement and maximize sales with apparel and hardline merchandise
• Communicate effectively with team members and store management regarding merchandising needs
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in different store settings
• Manage monthly scheduling to ensure store visits and merchandising deliverables are completed by assigned deadlines, demonstrating strong time management and accountability
• Submit store visit reports, including taking before and after photos and writing feedback, using our Winston App on a smart device
• Smartphones are required for reporting:
  • IOS: Use an iPhone 11 or newer
  • Android: Use a 2020 or newer device with an OS no more than four versions behind the latest
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for the entire shift

Experience & Skills:

• Proven experience in apparel merchandising or a related field is preferred
• Experience working with mannequins (assembling, updating, and styling)
• A portfolio of work is preferred but not required
• Familiarity with planograms and visual directives is essential
• A keen eye for detail and creativity in presenting apparel displays
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
