Job summary

SAS Retail Services, an Advantage Solutions company, is seeking a part-time Merchandiser in Hilo, Hawaii. You will build displays, rotate stock, and monitor inventories while supporting leadership with reports and training new hires.

You’ll interact with customers and store management in a friendly, energetic manner, and ensure safety-first execution in a retail setting. Prior merchandising experience helps, but training is provided.

Qualifications

• 18 years or older and able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• 1–2 years merchandising experience
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Able to use a smartphone or tablet to record work after each shift

Responsibilities

• Provide in-store merchandising support to retailers to meet shoppers’ needs, including building displays and end caps and rotating shelves.
• Track inventory to maximize sales opportunities and support leadership with reporting and scheduling.
• Assist onboarding of new hires and participate in training and team coordination.

Now, about you:

• Are comfortable interacting with customers and management in a friendly, enthusiastic, and outgoing manner
• You’re 18 years or older
• Can perform physical work of moving, bending, standing and can lift up to 50 lbs.
• Have reliable transportation to and from work location
• Have 1-2 years of merchandising experience
• Have experience leading and training people
• Can use your smartphone or tablet to record work after each shift
• Demonstrate excellent customer service and interpersonal skills with our clients, customers and team members
• Are a motivated self-starter with a strong bias for action and results
• Work independently, but also possess successful team building skills
• Have the ability to perform job duties with a safety-first mentality in a retail environment
