Job Description

Job Summary:

Reporting to the Territory Manager, the Retail Merchandiser is a part-time role that is an integral part of the field merchandising team. The Retail Merchandiser will be responsible for maintaining Hallmark Canada departments within our pharmacy, grocery, or big box retailers in mass channel accounts, including ordering, receiving, and merchandising of products in accordance with a master schedule and merchandising plan.

Your starting salary will be $17.60 an hour.

Responsibilities & Duties:
  1. Support merchandising services with inventory management and merchandising activities in assigned retail accounts, including everyday and seasonal products, as well as change outs.
  2. Maintain scheduled service visits weekly, adhering to set budgets that vary depending on retail occasions. Increased availability is required during peak seasons.
  3. Follow merchandising plans, productivity standards, and schedules provided, paying close attention to detail. Provide feedback to the Territory Manager to improve processes and efficiency. Be flexible to address issues that may arise on-site.
  4. Provide additional support for vacant accounts, holiday periods, and seasonal peak demands.
  5. Assist with department revisions, remerchandising, relocations, and new store installations as needed.
Communication Skills:
  1. Maintain ongoing scheduled and unscheduled communication with the Territory Manager to stay informed about upcoming programs and in-store activities.
  2. Liaise with account management as a Hallmark representative regarding scheduled service calls and build strong relationships with store management.
  3. Communicate clearly with the Territory Manager to ensure accounts are serviced and merchandised to meet or exceed retail standards.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • High School Diploma.
  • Experience in retail environments is beneficial.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
  • Strong knowledge of smartphone technology and effective email management skills.
