Job Summary

Reporting to the Territory Manager, the Retail Merchandiser is a part-time role that is an integral part of the field merchandising team. The Retail Merchandiser will be responsible for maintaining Hallmark Canada departments within our pharmacy, grocery, or big box retailers in mass channel accounts, including ordering, receiving, and merchandising of products in accordance with a master schedule and merchandising plan.

Responsibilities & Duties
  • Supports merchandising service with inventory management and merchandising activities in assigned retail accounts, including everyday and seasonal products, as well as change outs.
  • Maintains scheduled service visits weekly, adhering to budgets that vary depending on retail occasions, with increased availability during peak seasons.
  • Follows instructions for merchandising plans, productivity standards, and schedules, providing feedback to the Territory Manager to improve efficiency and productivity. Reacts flexibly to issues on-site that interfere with plans.
  • Provides support for vacant accounts, holiday periods, and seasonal peaks.
  • Assists with department revisions, remerchandising, relocations, and new store installations as needed.
Communication Skills
  • Maintains ongoing communication with the Territory Manager to stay updated on programs and in-store activities.
  • Builds and maintains strong relationships with account management, liaising as a Hallmark representative.
  • Ensures accounts are serviced and merchandised to meet or exceed retail standards through clear communication.
Qualifications and Experience
  • High School Diploma required.
  • Retail experience beneficial.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly.
  • Strong knowledge of Smartphone technology and email management skills.
