Job Summary

Reporting to the Territory Manager, the Retail Merchandiser plays a vital role in the field merchandising team. Responsibilities include maintaining Hallmark Canada departments in pharmacy, grocery, or big box retailers within mass channel accounts, including ordering, receiving, and merchandising products according to a master schedule and merchandising plan.

Responsibilities & Duties
  • Support merchandising services through inventory management and activities across assigned retail accounts, including seasonal and promotional change outs.
  • Ensure scheduled service visits weekly, adhering to budgets that vary with retail occasions, especially around major seasons.
  • Follow instructions for merchandising plans, standards, and schedules, providing feedback to the Territory Manager for process improvements. Flexibility is essential to handle unforeseen issues on-site.
  • Support coverage for vacant accounts, holiday periods, and seasonal peaks.
  • Assist with department revisions, remerchandising, relocations, and new store setups as needed.
Communication Skills
  • Maintain regular communication with the Territory Manager about upcoming programs and in-store activities.
  • Build and sustain strong relationships with account management as a Hallmark representative.
  • Ensure accounts are serviced and merchandised to retail standards through clear communication.
Qualifications & Experience
  • High School Diploma required.
  • Retail experience beneficial.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
  • Proficiency with Smartphone technology and email management.
