L&R is the largest distributor and the 6th largest purchaser of cosmetics in the United States. We distribute over 40,000 items, including cosmetics, toys, school supplies, hosiery, hair accessories, OTC, HBA, and more, through three regional warehouses in Arkansas, New Jersey, and Nevada.

We are seeking a part-time Retail Merchandiser to service retail stores such as Albertson's, Safeway, Cub Foods, Hy-Vee, and Kroger across various locations in the West, Central, and East Coast regions.

Retail Merchandiser – Ordering and Merchandising

Store Locations: ak Ridge, NJ | Denville, NJ | Vernon, NJ | Randolph, NJ | Boonton, NJ | Sussex, NJ | Blairstown, NJ | Florham Park, NJ | Whitehouse, NJ | Mendham, NJ

Pay Rate: Up to $16.00/hr

Hours: 20-30 hours/week

Essential Job Functions:

• Service store routes according to assigned call frequencies, collaborating closely with the District Manager
• Place orders for inventory based on store guidelines, using provided tablet and scanner with Repsly software
• Follow store visit procedures, including merchandising, task documentation, photography, stock maintenance, and other projects
• Stay informed on current sales, promotions, and policies regarding invoicing, exchanges, and returns
• Understand planograms and department footage, balancing sales and inventory control

Additional Responsibilities:

• Maintain professional communication with store staff during visits
• Verify merchandise shipments upon receipt
• Keep display cases and shelves organized and clean
• Conduct store surveys and audits, including photography and issue resolution
• Perform physical tasks, frequently lifting 15-50 lbs
• Opportunity to service additional stores as needed

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or G.E.D.; retail or merchandising experience preferred
• Valid driver’s license and proof of insurance
• Own vehicle required
• Clean driving record (≤3 violations in past 36 months)
• Smartphone or computer with internet access
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
