Job summary

Patagonia in Ventura, CA is seeking a Retail Merchandise Planner to develop and manage seasonal and long-range sales, inventory, and margin plans for North America retail. Qualifications

• 3-5+ years in merchandise planning or related retail analytical role.
• Strong forecasting, inventory management, open-to-buy, and financial reporting.
• Advanced Excel with large data-set analysis and pivot tables.
• Experience with planning, allocation, ERP, or BI systems.
• Ability to translate data into actionable recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Develop seasonal and annual sales, inventory, margin, markdown, and turn plans.
• Build forecasts at category and item level for pre-season and in-season planning.
• Support buy quantities and inventory strategies balancing demand and targets.
• Analyze weekly performance and identify risks and opportunities.
• Prepare seasonal plans, reporting, and business reviews with leadership.
• Monitor inventory flow and recommend replenishment and markdown actions.
• Collaborate across Merchandising, Allocation, Retail Ops, Finance, and Global Planning.
• Produce reporting that translates data into actionable insights.
• Improve forecasting accuracy and decision making through new tools and processes.
• Develop store-level and cluster-level inventory strategies.
