Job summary

The TJX Companies, Inc. in Tifton, GA is hiring a Retail Associate to deliver exceptional customer service in our TJ Maxx store. You will ring up purchases, assist customers, maintain the sales floor, and support store operations with a positive, team‑oriented attitude.

This role offers an hourly wage starting at $13.00–$13.50 per hour, with opportunities to learn, grow, and become a valuable part of a Fortune 100 off-price retailer.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service skills.
• Able to work a flexible schedule to support business needs.
• Strong communication and organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Capable of multitasking in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Capable of lifting heavy objects with or without accommodation.
• Retail customer experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Accurately rings customer purchases/returns and counts change back to customer according to established operating procedures.
• Promotes credit and loyalty programs
• Maintains and upholds merchandising philosophy and follows established merchandising procedures and standards
• Accurately processes and prepares merchandise for the sales floor following company procedures and standards
• Initiates and participates in store recovery as needed throughout the day
• Maintains all organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards for the sales floor and participates in the maintenance/cleanliness of the entire store
• Provides and accepts recognition and constructive feedback
• Adheres to all labor laws, policies, and procedures
• Supports and participates in store shrink reduction goals and programs
• Participates in safety awareness and maintains a safe environment
• Other duties as assigned
