Job summary

Blain’s Farm & Fleet is offering a Retail Management Training Program where Trainees will gain hands-on experience in all areas of store operations in Bloomington. The program focuses on preparing tomorrow’s Store Management leaders through practical training, coaching, and cross‑department exposure.

Starting pay is $20.00 per hour with a weekend premium of $2.50 per hour. The employer notes that actual pay may be higher based on experience and location, with relocation assistance available for

Qualifications

• Willing to relocate (Relocation Assistance Available)
• Retail or customer service experience preferred
• Flexibility to work nights & weekends
• Passion for providing excellent customer service
• Valid driver’s license required

Responsibilities

• Shadow, learn, assist, and support Store Management with the running of a Blain’s Farm and Fleet store
• Learn basics of progressive disciplinary and performance improvements
• Communicate with store associates and management
• Learn the pillars of the Associate Recognition program (G.R.O.W.)
• Fulfill duties of various store level associate positions
• Learn, become familiar, and participate within each store department and responsibilities
• Perform morning walk-throughs of the entire store
• Learn store HR processes and learn about the role of the Training Coordinator
• Learn and participate in Pricing Team activities including ad prep and price changes
• Learn and participate in store support activities such as merchandise receiving and inventory control
• Learn and assist with the associate interviewing process
