Job summary

Hy-Vee is seeking a Retail Service Technician in the Grocery department to diagnose problems, perform maintenance, and replace parts on equipment and building systems. The role covers multiple stores with on-site duties and on-call responsibilities.

Qualifications include a High School diploma or equivalent, HVAC & Refrigeration Certification, and OSHA awareness. The job requires a valid driver's license and periodic travel between Hy-Vee locations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; HVAC & Refrigeration certification.
• EPA refrigerant handling knowledge and OSHA awareness are preferred.
• Valid driver's license required for travel between stores.

Responsibilities

• Maintains and repairs equipment and building to meet OSHA regulations.
• Establishes work orders and schedules for tasks.
• Performs building repairs and contacts vendors as needed.
• Rotates between four to five Hy-Vee stores in surrounding areas.
• Plans expansions and estimates equipment, lighting, and fixtures.
• Keeps area clean and maintains tools and inventory.
• Implements preventive maintenance schedules.
• Reports to duty as scheduled and fulfills expected hours.
• Attends safety meetings and participates in on-call status.
