Job summary

Rosauers Supermarkets, Inc. is seeking a Loss Prevention Officer to monitor store activity, conduct surveillance, deter theft, and work with authorities as needed. You’ll protect assets and support a safe shopping environment.

Ideal candidates will have strong retail knowledge, analytical skills, and the ability to respond promptly to security incidents while upholding store policies.

Qualifications

• Experience in loss prevention and security in retail environments.
• Strong observational and analytical skills for detecting suspicious activity.
• Ability to enforce policies and work with law enforcement as needed.

Responsibilities

• Walk store aisles to identify suspicious activity.
• Identify potential thieves among customers and staff.
• Approach and question individuals showing suspicious behavior.
• Apprehend theft in compliance with procedures.
• Document theft incidents and observations.
• Record all theft attempts and recover stolen items.
• Coordinate with law enforcement to detain suspects.
• Provide eyewitness accounts at police stations or courts.
• Suggest improvements to prevent theft and vandalism.
