The Manager in Training will lead by example during promotions, assist in achieving store goals, and may assume Store Manager responsibilities when needed. This position emphasizes teamwork and high standards of service.

Qualifications

• Retail experience in footwear and athletic apparel preferred.
• 1–3 years of customer service experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Capable of assisting in team management and meeting goals.
• Self-starter with initiative and attention to detail.
• Team player with passion for outstanding service.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager in controlling assets and operations.
• Establish action plans for selling, restocking, merchandising, ordering and scheduling.
• Step in as store lead in the Store Manager’s absence.
• Provide guidance to employees and customers across departments.
• Monitor inventory, sales statistics, and expenses to ensure profitability.
• Direct staff to ensure department responsibilities and standards are met.
• Keep the Store Manager informed about inventory movement and trends.
• Maintain high-quality customer service per manuals and policies.
• Promote and sell services and merchandise offered by Hibbett I City Gear.
