Job summary

Goodwill of Orange County in Huntington Beach, CA is seeking a retail operations assistant to support store leadership, drive sales, and manage merchandising and signage. The role covers staff training and coverage for the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, 2 years of retail experience (cashiering preferred), and the ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; plan to pursue GED if not yet obtained.
• Two years of retail sales experience, including cashiering, preferred.
• Prior supervisory experience preferred.
• Ability to stand for 7–8 hours and lift 50 pounds.
• Flexible to work at other Orange County locations; reliable transportation.
• Ability to work varying schedules including days, evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to communicate in English with customers, supervisors and co-workers.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing store operations to achieve revenue and expense goals.
• Provide back up to the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager in their absence.
• Oversee staff management, training, sales, production, merchandising and signage.
