Responsibilities

• Provide best-in-class guest service: greet guests, respond to questions/concerns promptly and courteously, assist guests in meeting their video gaming needs, inform guests about promotions and the trade-in program, recommend additional items as appropriate, apply all selling behaviors during transactions, and show gratitude to every guest. Prioritize guests over tasks and circulate throughout the store.
• Support the overall shopping environment, including visual and operational elements, and nurture guest relationships that lead to sales and repeat business.
• Process guest purchases and returns accurately via the POS system, ensuring top-notch guest service.
• Address guest comments or questions in person or on the phone, answering promptly to ensure top-tier service.
• Promote GameStop’s guest benefits, such as the new title reservations program and the Pro Rewards loyalty program.
• Ensure store areas (including restrooms) are clean, organized, and merchandised according to guidelines. Ensure fixtures and equipment are in proper working order.
• Complete Omni-Channel orders daily.
• Safeguard company assets through inventory control and loss prevention practices, including scam awareness and safety best practices.
• Conduct store inventory counts, stock/restock merchandise, and move products from stock room to sales floor to ensure representation and organization.
• Support store management in meeting sales, profit, and shrink goals; complete required administrative and operational duties.
• Count, balance, and reconcile daily transaction totals in the POS system; complete closeout paperwork and bank deposits as required.
• Check shipments for discrepancies and report issues to management as needed.
• Process defectives/recalls and stock pulls, ensuring proper labeling and packing lists.
• Supervise and delegate tasks to Sales Associates in the absence of management.
• Adhere to GameStop policies and procedures and follow opening/closing procedures.
• Observe associate performance and provide timely feedback to store management.

Qualifications

• Must provide proof of identity and eligibility to work in the United States.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 1 year of retail sales, guest service, and/or management experience preferred.
• Video game knowledge preferred.
• Ability to work alone, stand, and move throughout the store unassisted for up to 10 hours per day.

• Physical ability to bend, stoop, reach, climb ladders, and lift merchandise up to 30 lbs.
• Stand and move for up to 10 hours per day to provide guest service or perform tasks.
