Job Title: Retail Key Holder or Associate (Gifted Hands Gift Shop)

Store Manager and Assistant Manager

Job Summary:

As a Retail Key Holder, you will be responsible for supporting store management in daily operations, providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining store security. You will assist in managing the team and ensuring the store meets its sales goals while fostering a positive shopping environment. We are a locally-owned company that specializes in artisan-made gifts, as well national brands. We offer many custom gifts, too! Our goal is to provide something unique for all major gift-giving occasions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Open and close the store according to company procedures, ensuring security and safety protocols are followed.
• Greet customers and provide assistance to enhance their shopping experience.
• Supervise sales associates and support training and development.
• Assist in inventory management, including receiving, stocking, and organizing merchandise.
• Handle cash management, including processing transactions, balancing the register, and preparing deposits.
• Maintain knowledge of current promotions, products, and policies to provide accurate information to customers.
• Address customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints promptly and professionally.
• Assist in visual merchandising and maintaining the cleanliness of the store.
• Collaborate with management to achieve sales goals and improve operational efficiency.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
• Gifted Hands Gift Shop team members must maintain a positive attitude and abide by our "no gossip" policy. We do not tolerate gossip or drama of any type. We work very hard to protect our positive/enjoyable environment and, as a result, have low employee turnover.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; further education is a plus.
• Previous retail experience, preferably in a supervisory role.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
• Proficient in basic math and cash handling.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for long periods and lift items up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to navigate the sales floor and stockroom efficiently.

Pay:

$11.00 - $15.00 per hour depending on position and experience

• Must have weekend availability
• Typical shifts are 9:45 - 3:45, 11:00 - 3:30, 3:30 - 8:15 and 4:00 -8:15 but there is room to adjust.
