Job summary

Selective Staffing Solutions is partnering with a nonprofit organization in Buffalo, NY to hire a Retail Key Holder / Store Associate Lead. You will greet customers, assist donors, operate the POS, and help maintain merchandise quality across the store.

You'll train and mentor teammates, lead daily operations, and contribute to sales goals in a purpose-driven retail environment that supports the community.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service and leading a team.
• Willingness to assist donors at the donation door.
• Ability to operate a POS and process purchases.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers, answer questions, and provide recommendations.
• Operate the point-of-sale system and process purchases.
• Welcome and assist donors at the donation door.
• Inspect, sort, price, tag, and process donated merchandise according to company guidelines.
• Stock and organize merchandise while maintaining a clean, attractive sales floor.
• Rotate through different store areas and assist wherever needed.
• Train and assist Store Associates with job duties and daily procedures.
• Help direct the team and support store production and sales goals.
• Perform store opening and closing procedures, including securing the building and setting alarms.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• As a Store Associate Lead, you'll help keep the store running smoothly while providing an excellent experience for customers and donors. You'll work throughout different areas of the store and serve as a key team member responsible for daily operations.
• Greet and assist customers, answer questions, and provide recommendations based on their needs.
• Operate the point-of-sale system and accurately process customer purchases.
• Welcome and assist donors at the donation door.
• Inspect, sort, price, tag, and process donated merchandise according to company guidelines.
• Stock and organize merchandise while maintaining a clean, attractive sales floor.
• Pull merchandise from the sales floor and process items according to retail procedures.
• Rotate through different store areas and assist wherever needed.
• Perform store opening and closing procedures, including securing the building and setting alarms.
• Train and assist Store Associates with job duties and daily procedures.
• Help direct the team and support store production and sales goals.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
