Micro Center in Illinois is hiring a Retail Inventory Specialist to blend customer service with fulfillment, merchandising, and stock control.

This fast-paced role involves processing web orders, shipments, and inventory checks while maintaining a well-organized sales floor and assisting customers. The position emphasizes teamwork, loss prevention, and flexible scheduling, including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Strong customer service mindset with a genuine interest in creating positive customer experiences.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to assist multiple customers in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexible availability, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Requires standing and walking throughout the store for the duration of each shift.
• Requires frequent manual lifting and carrying of objects weighing 11-100 lbs to load, unload, and shelf products.
• Requires the frequent use of manual tools, including pallet jacks, dollies, and flatbed carts, as well as the ability to navigate uneven ground and climb ladders.

Responsibilities

• Execute web order fulfillment processes, ensuring timely completion and a high level of customer satisfaction.
• Process incoming and outgoing shipments, including pick-pack orders, backhauls, and return-to-vendor merchandise.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked work area through cycle counts, replenishment, and merchandising support.
• Support store operations by promoting loss prevention awareness and assisting with physical inventory preparation and execution.
• Assist with floor set changes, displays, and merchandising resets.
• Provide customer support, including carry-in and carry-out assistance as needed.
• Ensure that customer service standards are met and that difficult customer situations are handled courteously and professionally.
• Participate in store opening and closing procedures.
• Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

About the Role

We are currently seeking a self‑motivated, results‑oriented RETAIL INVENTORY SPECIALIST. This fast‑paced position combines customer service, fulfillment, merchandising, and inventory support to help create a well‑organized and engaging shopping environment. You'll work collaboratively with a dynamic team, contribute to operational excellence, and help ensure customers receive the products and service they expect.

The pay range is $18-$20.00
