JOB TITLE: Retail Inventory Control Coordinator
REPORTS TO: Director of Retail

Purpose and Scope:
The Retail Supervisor is responsible for the oversight of the Retail Store and Golf Retail Operations, which may
include ordering, stocking, arranging merchandise, special event merchandise orders, and supervising the
retail staff.

Essential Functions:

  • Ensuring that the store looks attractive by deciding the arrangement of merchandise in the store
  • Supervise the retail staff across all outlets
  • Responding to customer queries and helping them with purchases
  • Training new Team Members and managing the work schedules of the Team Members
  • Being aware of daily sales targets and ensuring that the targets are met
  • Supervising the stocking of goods
  • Ensuring that the merchandise is replenished regularly and the store is never out of stock
  • Checking the financial transactions of the store
  • Handling customer complaints and ensuring that the customers are satisfied with the store
  • Collecting feedback from customers and suggesting changes accordingly
  • Ensuring that the store policies are upheld
  • Creating purchase orders and receiving new product
  • Transport merchandise to proper retail outlets
  • Supervise quarterly inventories in all retail outlets

Non-Essential Functions:

  • Perform special projects and other responsibilities as assigned.
  • Participate in task forces and committees as requested.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Education: High School/GED; College education or experience equivalent preferred
  • Experience: Four to five years of employment in this position or a related position in another organization.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Requires knowledge of the principles and practices in retailing/merchandising/marketing.
  • Requires working knowledge of computers and related software programs, cash registers, and other
    technical equipment. Excellent communication and management capabilities
  • Excellent observation and analytical abilities
  • Ability to analyze and solve problems; efficiently handle multiple duties under pressure with minimal
    supervision
  • A good sense of detail and visual appeal to arrange the merchandise alluringly
  • Ability to make the staff work as a team by portraying good leadership qualities
  • Excellent presence of mind and ability to make quick decisions
  • Work flexible hours as required including any days, nights, weekends, or holidays.
  • Positive attitude, professional manner, and appearance in all situations.

  • Lift inventory, boxes up to 40 lbs. pull/push racks as needed

Bending/Kneeling: Describe the type(s) of required bending and/or kneeling to include when, why, and how often

  • As required to stock/inventory shops; kneeling as required by job requirements from
    inventories, guest assistance: 25%

Mobility: Describe the type(s) of mobility required to include distances and % of time involved.

  • Must be able to navigate shops to assist guests, stock merchandise, control loss, clean,
    and reach elevated items as needed: 40%

Continuous Standing: Describe the reasons to include time period and frequency.

  • Assisting guests on the floor, conducting inventories: 70%

Climbing:

  • Stairs: Up to approximately 5 steps per shift. 50%
  • Ladders: Up to approximately 6 feet per shift: 30%

Chemicals/Agents: Describe any chemicals/agents to include what they are, warnings, and frequency of use.

  • Use of Windex and other cleaning agents as needed: 10%

Equipment Operation: List type of equipment and frequency of use.

  • Cash register – daily; Computer – daily; Telephone – daily: 75%
