Job summary

Par-Mar-Stores is seeking a Retail Inventory Auditor to ensure inventory accuracy, security of assets, and customer satisfaction. You will focus on counting inventory, using inventory systems, and reporting to management on system status, while maintaining knowledge of procedures.

The role requires 21+ years of age, 48 hours per week, and the ability to work Monday through Friday. A company vehicle and fleet fuel card are provided, with background checks and drug testing prior to employment.

Qualifications

  • Experience with inventory counting and reporting to management.

Responsibilities

  • Count and scan inventory accurately and timely per procedures.
  • Report to Auditing Team Supervisor on issues affecting inventory loss.
  • Maintain clear communication with Auditing Team Supervisor, co-workers and Store Managers.
  • Prepare reports concerning inventory and accounting as required by the Auditing Team Supervisor.
  • Review inventory activities, costs and results to identify improvements.

Job description

Title: Retail Inventory Auditor

Reports to: Director of Loss Prevention

Must be 21 years of age

Normal work week is Monday-Friday

Corporate Salary Position – Paid Bi-Weekly ($1826)

Minimum 48 hours per week required

Company Vehicle is provided

Company Fleet Fuel Card is provided for work related fuel purchases

Company credit card provided forapprovedcompany related purchases

Must have acceptable background check, MVR and drug test results

Purpose of Position:

Ensure the company objectives are met in the areas of inventory so the company achieves cost-effective operations, security of company assets and complete customer satisfaction.

  • Focus on the task of counting inventory, concentrating on counting/scanning, avoiding distractions, paying attention to detail, able to work independently and complete the inventory count process in a timely manner as required by company procedures.
  • Be knowledgeable in the use of the inventory systems and be prepared to report to management on the status of the system.
  • In a timely and accurate manner, communicate to Auditing Team Supervisor any issues observed that affect inventory loss.
  • Always display a consistent team-oriented demeanor by maintaining a clear channel of communication with the Auditing Team Supervisor, fellow co-workers and Store Managers in compliance with Company policies for the purpose of obtaining inventory information and resolving auditing issues.
  • Prepare in an accurate and timely manner reports concerning inventory and accounting as required by the Auditing Team Supervisor.
  • Review and analyze inventory activities, costs, and results to determine progress toward stated goals and objectives and recommend changes necessary to grow and improve.
  • Ensure all company information is held in confidence and used to support the company position.
  • Direct and conduct mini-cash audits and scheduled and unscheduled store inspections as directed by the Auditing Team Supervisor.
  • Maintain a professional and neat appearance daily according to company policy.
  • Follow, promote and enforce the Company Policies and Procedures in a manner which supports the Company Mission Statement and Image Standards.
  • Develop and maintain a professional image as a member of the company Retail Inventory Audit Team, supporting the Company Image, in actions and words at all times.
