Job summary

Par-Mar-Stores is hiring a Retail Inventory Auditor to focus on accurate inventory counts, using scanning and reporting tools, while ensuring security of assets. The role requires attention to detail and the ability to work independently within a Monday–Friday schedule.

The position offers a company vehicle, fuel card, and a provided credit card for approved purchases, with bi-weekly payroll and a background/MVR/drug test process as part of on-boarding.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age.
• Minimum 48 hours per week.
• Corporate salary position with bi-weekly pay.
• Background check, MVR and drug test results required.
• Normal Monday–Friday work week.

Responsibilities

• Count and scan inventory with focus and accuracy, avoiding distractions and working independently to complete counts on time.
• Know and use the inventory systems; report system status to Auditing Team Supervisor as needed.
• Communicate issues affecting inventory loss to Auditing Team Supervisor in a timely manner.
• Maintain clear communication with Auditing Team Supervisor, co-workers and Store Managers to obtain inventory information and resolve issues.
• Prepare accurate and timely reports concerning inventory and accounting as required.
• Review and analyze inventory activities, costs and results to gauge progress and recommend improvements.
• Keep company information confidential and used to support the company position.
• Direct and conduct mini-cash audits and scheduled/unscheduled store inspections as directed.
• Maintain a professional and neat appearance daily per company policy.
• Follow and enforce Company Policies and Procedures aligned with the company mission and image standards.
• Develop and maintain a professional image as a member of the Retail Inventory Audit Team.

Title: Retail Inventory Auditor
Reports to: Director of Loss Prevention

Must be 21 years of age
Normal work week is Monday-Friday
Corporate Salary Position – Paid Bi-Weekly ($1826)
Minimum 48 hours per week required
Company Vehicle is provided
Company Fleet Fuel Card is provided for work related fuel purchases

Must have acceptable background check, MVR and drug test results

Purpose of Position:Ensure the company objectives are met in the areas of inventory so the company achieves cost-effective operations, security of company assets and complete customer satisfaction.

1. Focus on the task of counting inventory, concentrating on counting/scanning, avoiding distractions, paying attention to detail, able to work independently and complete the inventory count process in a timely manner as required by company procedures.
2. Be knowledgeable in the use of the inventory systems and be prepared to report to management on the status of the system.
3. In a timely and accurate manner, communicate to Auditing Team Supervisor any issues observed that affect inventory loss.
4. Always display a consistent team‑oriented demeanor by maintaining a clear channel of communication with the Auditing Team Supervisor, fellow co‑workers and Store Managers in compliance with Company policies for the purpose of obtaining inventory information and resolving auditing issues.
5. Prepare in an accurate and timely manner reports concerning inventory and accounting as required by the Auditing Team Supervisor.
6. Review and analyze inventory activities, costs, and results to determine progress toward stated goals and objectives and recommend changes necessary to grow and improve.
7. Ensure all company information is held in confidence and used to support the company position.
8. Direct and conduct mini-cash audits and scheduled and unscheduled store inspections as directed by the Auditing Team Supervisor.
9. Maintain a professional and neat appearance daily according to company policy.
10. Follow, promote and enforce the Company Policies and Procedures in a manner which supports the Company Mission Statement and Image Standards.
11. Develop and maintain a professional image as a member of the company Retail Inventory Audit Team, supporting the Company Image, in actions and words at all times.
