6 Degrees Search is seeking an Intermediate Architectural Design Professional for its Retail Interiors and Branded Environments division in New York. It seeks a design leader with strong concept development and execution skills in store planning, fixtures, and millwork, collaborating with clients and the design team.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in retail interiors, excels in concept design, and can produce photo-realistic renderings using Enscape and AI tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture (BA); Master’s degree a plus.
• Minimum 5 years in Retail Interiors and architecture within a branded environment.
• Strong concept design experience for retail and branded environments.
• Expertise in retail store planning, sales area and BOH layouts.
• Experience with retail fixtures and custom millwork design and coordination.
• Proficiency in SketchUp, Revit, AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Ability to render photo-realistic images with Enscape and AI tools.
• Balance design thinking with technical execution across project phases.

Responsibilities

• Interface with clients throughout the design phase.
• Assist design director in overseeing the design team.
• Develop preliminary retail programs of requirements.
• Develop test-fits and schematic design planning.
• Prepare design scope and budget documentation for fixtures and millwork.
• Coordinate design with client, consultants and project team.
• Organize and attend design presentations.
• Select and specify furniture, finishes and accessories.
• Design retail fixturing including wall systems and gondolas.
• Develop custom millwork detailing and fabrication intent.
• Review engineering docs and shop drawings for design intent.
• Visit project site during construction.
