Qualifications

• Read, understand and write English at an eighth-grade level.
• Ability to validate identifications before selling tobacco/alcohol as required by regulations.
• Interact with customers in a friendly, professional manner; follow store policies.
• Be able to work a flexible schedule and handle emergencies calmly.
• Must be 18 years of age or older; capable of lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Physical stamina to work in varying temperatures and environments.
• Complete new employee safety orientation and maintain store safety responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Must be able to work a flexible schedule as needed.
• Communicate verbally and in writing with management on store operations in a quick timeline.
• Interact with customers in a friendly, professional manner.
• Prepare a shift report at the end of the shift.
• Greet every customer with a smile and sincere greeting.
• Suggest purchases and promote specials.
• Ensure execution of the customer service program at the site level.
• Maintain safety and appearance of the store; enforce regulations.
• Operate equipment safely and support Safety and Health programs.
• Promptly report accidents, injuries, or illnesses.
• Complete the new employee safety orientation procedure.
