Job summary

SpartanNash is seeking a part-time Guest Care Associate at our Byron Center, MI location. You will help guests in person and by phone, operate the cash register, and support self-checkout transactions while maintaining store programs and product locations.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, strong customer service and arithmetic skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment. Prior retail experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in retail or related field preferred.
• Good reading, writing and arithmetic skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Provide courteous guest service in person or by telephone; answer guest questions and direct calls to appropriate department.
• Process guest services transactions such as credits, refunds, money orders/transfers, etc., per policy.
• Operate cash register and assist guests with self-checkouts; handle diverse products.
• Process payments (cash, checks, credit cards, food stamps, WIC, loyalty cards, gift certificates, coupons).
• Maintain knowledge of store programs and product locations.
• Ensure clean, stocked department; follow safety and sanitation standards.
• Notify leadership of pricing or register issues; follow PPE and safety guidelines.
