Job summary

Ollie’s is seeking a Receiving Team Leader for our Dublin, GA store. You will oversee the receiving area, ensure efficient freight flow to the sales floor, and maintain back stock.

You will also manage damaged goods disposition to minimize profit loss and act as Manager on Duty as needed. Key duties include planning and unloading shipments, verifying vendor deliveries, and directing the work of Associates to ensure accuracy and timely merchandising.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 6 months experience with a mid- to large-size retailer.
• Schedule flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays on a regular basis.
• Ability to organize, prioritize, and delegate tasks while working within strict timeframes and deadlines.
• Must have a positive attitude and the ability to interact well with customers and associates.

Responsibilities

• Plan, unload, check in, and support the merchandising of distribution shipments of merchandise.
• Receive, verify, and merchandise all direct vendor shipments.
• Manage effective freight flow in the receiving area while maintaining equipment and a safe, orderly dock and exterior.
• Adhere to company standards confirm the accuracy of all incoming merchandise and set up and design merchandise displays.
• Prepare and process outbound transfers of merchandise and fixtures as required.
• Direct the work of other Associates who are assisting with freight flow processes.
• Act as Manager on Duty and complete any additional responsibilities as assigned including opening and closing of the store.

Internal Job Title: Receiving Team Leader

Position Overview:

The Receiving Team Leader serves as a store keyholder and oversees the efficient operation and maintenance of the receiving area as outlined in the company receiving area plan. Responsibilities include the accurate, efficient, and timely execution of freight flow to the sales floor in accordance with established processing and visual merchandising standards. Maintain back stock in the receiving area and manage the disposition of damaged goods to minimize profit loss.
