Job summary

Ollie’s in Hinesville, GA is seeking a Receiving Team Leader to oversee shipments and the receiving area to ensure accurate stock and appealing displays. You will coordinate freight flow and support merchandising standards while maintaining back stock and damaged goods disposition.

Responsibilities include unloading shipments, verifying merchandise, directing associates, and acting as Manager on Duty with opening/closing duties as needed. High school diploma and retail experience required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 6 months experience with a mid- to large-size retailer.
• Schedule flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays on a regular basis.
• Ability to organize, prioritize, and delegate tasks within strict timeframes.
• Positive attitude and strong customer/associate interaction.

• Receive, verify, and merchandise all direct vendor shipments.
• Manage effective freight flow in the receiving area while maintaining equipment and a safe, orderly dock and exterior.
• Adhere to company standards, confirm accuracy of incoming merchandise and set up/display merchandise.
• Prepare and process outbound transfers of merchandise and fixtures as required.
• Direct the work of other Associates assisting with freight flow processes.
• Act as Manager on Duty and complete additional responsibilities including opening/closing of the store.

Position Overview:

The Receiving Team Leader oversees the efficient operation and maintenance of the receiving area as outlined in the company receiving area plan. Responsibilities include the accurate, efficient, and timely execution of freight flow to the sales floor in accordance with established processing and visual merchandising standards. Maintain back stock in the receiving area and manage the disposition of damaged goods to minimize profit loss.
