OVERVIEW:

The Freight Flow Lead has a direct impact on both the execution of brand standards and the teammate experience. With guidance from the Assistant Store Manager and Store Manager, the Freight Flow Lead is the in-store expert of their department. The Lead focuses on delivering excellent service to customers and providing direction and coaching to teammates. Their leadership qualities—empathy, resilience, optimism, and collaboration—set them apart.

  • Supports building and hiring a strong team by observing in-store interviews and department tours.
  • Builds a people-first culture by connecting with every teammate to foster trust and respect, contributing to a positive store environment.
  • Plans and organizes 30-day strategies with guidance from the Assistant Store Manager, including workforce planning and execution of daily tasks and store events.
  • Leverages teammates strategically to meet brand standards, execute programs, and delegate tasks based on priority.
  • Assists with store supervision, including opening/closing, Front End and Cash Office functions, and processing firearms sales in compliance with regulations.
  • Upholds merchandising standards through proper floor set execution, signage, pricing, and inventory presentation.
  • Provides training on company procedures, onboarding new teammates, and cross-training current staff.
  • Prioritizes coaching and development, providing hands-on guidance and explaining the 'why' behind tasks.
  • Leads by example to align team responsibilities with organizational goals and ensure a hassle-free shopping experience.
  • Creates an inclusive environment where everyone feels welcome and respected.
  • Adheres to safety, loss prevention policies, and confidentiality standards.
  • Supports the team proactively and performs other tasks as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Prior retail or customer service experience preferred.
  • Ability to stand, bend, reach, push, pull, and lift 15-50 lbs. repeatedly.
  • Ability to stand or walk for extended periods (up to 4 hours).
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 70 lbs. with assistance or equipment.
  • Ability to work at heights over 4 feet using ladders or platforms.
