OVERVIEW:

The Freight Flow Lead has a direct impact on both the execution of brand standards and the teammate experience. With guidance from the Assistant Store Manager and Store Manager, the Freight Flow Lead is the in-store expert of their department. They focus on delivering excellent service to customers and providing direction and coaching to teammates. The ability to lead by example, be empathetic, resilient, optimistic, and collaborative is essential.

  • Supports building and hiring a strong team by observing in-store interviews and department tours.
  • Builds a people-first culture by connecting with every teammate to foster mutual trust and respect, contributing to a positive store environment.
  • Plans, organizes, and controls operations 30 days out, with guidance from the Assistant Store Manager, including workforce planning to execute daily tasks, projects, or store events.
  • Leverages teammates strategically to meet brand standards, execute programs and processes daily, and delegate tasks based on priority.
  • Assists with general store supervision, including opening and closing, Front End and Cash Office functions, and processing firearms sales in compliance with regulations where applicable.
  • Upholds merchandising and presentation standards by following established floor sets, signage, pricing, and inventory standards.
  • Helps train teammates on procedures and programs, including onboarding new teammates and cross-training current staff.
  • Prioritizes coaching and development, providing hands-on guidance and explaining the 'why' behind tasks and processes.
  • Leads by example to support organizational and store vision, helping teammates understand how their roles contribute to the store's success.
  • Creates an inclusive environment where everyone feels welcome, safe, and respected.
  • Adheres to policies related to safety, loss prevention, and confidentiality.
  • Supports the team across the store as needed and performs additional tasks as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Prior retail or customer-focused experience preferred.
  • Ability to stand, bend, reach, push, pull, and lift 15 to 50 lbs. repeatedly.
  • Ability to work extended periods standing or walking.
  • Ability to intermittently lift up to 70 lbs. with assistance or equipment.
  • Ability to work at heights greater than 4 feet using ladders or aerial lifts.
